Engineered to manage print speeds of up to 24 pages per minute
The image formation process with these types of printers using inkjet tank packs with an internal printhead unit mechanisms is called thermal inkjet technology. Firstly ink from the cartridge tank is transferred to hundreds of tiny ink head nozzles in the printhead applicator assembly. This print-head nozzle comprises a series of mini heating elements which it uses to expand the ink and force it through the nozzle on the page. It continues this switching or firing of the elements until the ink has been wholly layered upon the page and the final image and text have been formed.
The micro-droplet size of the ink is a mere 3.5 pl (picolitre) making for premium quality colour output without having to compromise of serious print speed.
Each tank pack is packaged in its own fully vacuum sealed container to maximise longevity and avoid ink seepage. It is then also put inside a protective box for easy storage and access.
