The Office Jester… every office needs one to cope with office recruitment issues
Every professional out there will agree that going through a company’s recruitment process is a pain. You not only have to be submissive and sell yourself but also deal with the interviewer acting all high and mighty through multiple rounds. This is, in fact, one of the reasons why most recruits hate elaborate office recruitment procedures.
However, we’ve found what could be a secret weapon for the right applicant in the right job interview. Play this right buddy and you may end up getting a higher position than you’re interviewing for, dominating your interviewer and rubbing their snooty noses into the ground, and doing it all by simply talking. That’s right, the only prerequisite for this strategy is that you need to know how to yakety-yak like a yammering yuppy.
Office Recruitment Nightmare
Overall, this interview was one of the better ones as any number of management professionals will tell you. The interviewer started off quite nicely even though she tried to lay ground to offer a lesser salary by the “overqualified” statement.
Watch the video at 0:28 minutes again. The expression on the candidate is pure evil. I pity the guy she ends up with but then again all husbands feel like the interviewer anyways right? She knows what she’s doing, how she’s going to do it, and that it would work. After that, the interview basically devolves into an all-out ego war…a power game, with each of them trying to one-up the other.
We all know what it feels like to play the power game with our bosses. The problem is that our resistance is futile because the employee can never win the battle. Maybe this video will teach us something?
