HP Inc. Launches New Wireless HP DeskJet Ink Advantage Printer Models in India
The newly formed HP Inc. is all set to improve its performance on the back a conscious effort to capture a greater market share in developing markets such as India. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is looking to increase its presence and domination in the Indian market with the help of new wireless HP DeskJet Ink Advantage printer models.
The new HP DeskJet Ink Advantage printer models launched include the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 4535 all in one, the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage printer 4675 all in one, and the HP DeskJet Ink Advantage printer 3830 all in one printers.
As per the company, the highlight of the new printer range is their mobile printing capability. The OEM is trying to position the new printers as the ideal solution for parents of kids who need to print their assignments at odd hours. Along with mobile compatibility, the new printers are also capable of helping the middle class segment save more money by cutting down on operational costs. Moreover, the design of the new HP DeskJet Ink Advantage printer models is also different from the standard box hardware configuration.
According to the Country Category Leader of Printing Systems in India of HP Inc., Parikshet Singh Tomar, parents in India can be free from ‘last minute scrambles’ to the local print shops ‘late at night’ because the new HP DeskJet Ink Advantage printer models allow print commands to be given directly from mobile devices without any compromise on the print quality.
Tomar also specified that the new HP DeskJet Ink Advantage printer models can help users save a considerable sum of money by eliminating the need for reprinting. Each of the new models introduced comes with HP Ink Advantage cartridges that go through elaborate testing so as to maximise reliable and consistent sharp outputs. These original HP Ink Advantage cartridges reduce printing costs through removing the need to reprint as well as increasing productivity. These ink cartridges also negate the elements of ‘complicated refilling, frequent maintenance, and wasting ink’.
All printers in the new HP DeskJet Ink Advantage printer series boast of a bowl form factor as opposed to the box form factor. The output area of these new printer models has a long and curved opening on the front side which allows for printed paper to be collected easily by the user. The hardware design of these printers is minimalistic in nature that allows for the input tray and the scanner lid to be seamlessly integrated together. The unique design also allows these machines to be spatially efficiency and not take up too much area on a desk. The mobile printing aspect is the highlight of each of these new printer models especially since they provide out of the box functionality. This means that the mobile setup involved with these printers is minimal, fast, and very convenient.
Of the three new HP DeskJet Ink Advantage printer models, the 4675 is the most advanced. It boasts of three extra features. The first is the hidden output arm which becomes activated and comes out of the printer every time a print command is given. The second is a touch enabled display screen spanning 5.5 cm. This printer is also faster than the other models in the new HP DeskJet Ink Advantage printer series. As a result of these features, the 4675 is also the most expensive of the three new launches.

While HP Inc. wooed the Indian consumer with the new HP DeskJet Ink Advantage printer models, it looked to target the business class in Saudi Arabia with a new generation of Enterprise LaserJet printers. The new generation of Enterprise LaserJet printers provides a number of benefits over the earlier variants of the same.
For instance, the new generation of these printers are 40 percent smaller and faster than their elder brethren. Improvements were also made to these new printer models which resulted in more than 50 percent of reduction in their energy requirements. Finally, these new enterprise class printer models are also much more secure owing to some new features.
During the launch of the new generation of Enterprise LaserJet printers in the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh, the Vice President and General Manager of HP Inc.’s LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions Business, Tuan Tran, specified that HP Inc. is providing the ‘strongest protection in the industry’ to businesses by securing ‘the devices, documents, and data’ that business keep on their enterprise printers.
The new security features included in the new generation of Enterprise LaserJet printer devices consist of HP Sure Start Technology, Whitelisting, and Run Time Intrusion Detection. The HP Sure Start Technology is designed to counter malicious BIOS attacks. The security features allows for detection of such attacks and automatic self – recovery. Whitelisting is a feature that allows only original firmware to be installed onto the device while Run Time Intrusion Detection facilitates in – device memory monitoring to counter malicious attacks. The Run Time Intrusion Detection feature is a result of collaboration between HP Inc. and Red Balloon, an initiative originating from the Columbia University.
The aforementioned security features will not only be available with the new generation of Enterprise LaserJet printers but also OfficeJet Enterprise X printers that have PageWide Technology. Moreover, many HP Inc. Enterprise LaserJet printers active from April can be updated to include the three security features. It is also important to add that the Whitelisting and Run Time Detection features will be available to all existing Enterprise LaserJet printers and PageWide Technology enabled OfficeJet Enterprise X Printers.
