The Office Jester… every office needs one to come up with epic April Fool’s Day office pranks
The first week of April has gone by. Those of you who went through it without incident must be congratulating yourself. If it was up to me, nobody would go through the first week of April without a prank being pulled on them – just ask my colleagues, my wife, my dog, and anyone else unfortunate enough to come into my crosshairs.
I know it’s childish but I believe it’s good to be childish for 7 of 365 days. It makes life more interesting. Where do I find the inspiration for so many pranks? The internet, of course. Don’t they say that no tool is good or evil and that it is the user who is? Well, I made internet evil for quite a few people.
Here’s one of my favourites, if you want to pull a few epic April Fool’s Day office pranks (who cares that the first week is gone right? There’s a child in all of us, squealing to get out).

The only beef or mutton if you’re so inclined you can have with this video is that there are too many people popping out of cartons and boxes. However, this is one of the easiest pranks to pull at any office which is probably why it’s so widespread. Moreover, it does seem to bring out the best screams, squeals, and jumping from the ladies which is always fun.
My personal favourite was the bald guy and the spider. The way he screams and squirms, like a prima donna, is priceless. I only wish I could get such reactions from my office mates.
The lady with the coffee cup is also something I’ll never forget. That one’s past must be full of very interesting experiences if she’s using terms like “son of a…” with such instinctive and intuitive abandon. Boy, she would have some stories to tell about her youth to her grandkids. She even looked naughty afterwards.
Of course, the nerds amongst you would’ve enjoyed the muscular man dressed as Princess Leia. I don’t know how he got duped into that one. He must be praising himself afterwards for not wearing the golden bikini. There’s no way that anyone is convincing me to wear a costume like that. Ever!
If you were wondering why we haven’t commented on the Lexmark carton man yet, don’t. How can we miss that one, after all its printer based. You should be glad that the boss didn’t send out special boxes on April Fool’s Day.
